Adding Gear to Your Soldiers

Clay soldiers can wear armor and wield weapons just like players. To equip a soldier, right-click on it to open its inventory interface. You can then place items directly into the appropriate slots—armor goes in armor slots, and weapons go in the hand slot.

Compatible Equipment

Soldiers can equip standard Minecraft armor (leather, iron, diamond, etc.) and most common weapons including swords, axes, bows, and staffs. Different gear affects how your soldier fights—a soldier with a bow will attack from range, while one with a sword prefers melee combat.

Customizing Your Army

Mix and match equipment across your soldiers to create specialized units. Give some soldiers heavy armor for durability, others bows for ranged support, and leaders distinctive gear to stand out. You can also use data packs to add custom weapons and equipment options beyond vanilla Minecraft items.
