Understanding Diamond Pipe Sorting

Diamond pipes are smart filters that direct items to specific chests based on their type. Place a diamond pipe at a junction where multiple paths split off to different storage chests.

Configuring Item Routes

Interact with the diamond pipe to open its configuration menu. For each item type you want to sort, assign it a specific output direction. For example, send all iron ingots to the left chest and copper to the right chest.

Building Your Sorting Layout

Arrange your storage chests around the diamond pipe—one in each direction you plan to use. Connect transport pipes from the diamond pipe to each chest. Feed items into the diamond pipe from a central source using wooden pipes and redstone power.

Items will automatically route to their assigned chests. You can configure multiple diamond pipes in sequence to create complex sorting hierarchies for large item collections.
