Gather and Mine Deepslate Blocks Efficiently

Mining Requirements

Deepslate blocks require a pickaxe to mine. A stone pickaxe or better will successfully harvest the block; without a pickaxe, the block breaks but drops nothing.

Finding Deepslate

Deepslate generates naturally in the deep underground, typically below Y-level 16. It becomes increasingly common the deeper you mine. Cobbled deepslate can be obtained by mining deepslate with a pickaxe.

Processing Deepslate

Once you have raw deepslate blocks, you can:

• Use them directly for building
• Craft them into slabs, stairs, and walls
• Combine with vines to create mossy variants
• Smelt or process them into bricks and tiles (depending on mod recipes)

Efficiency Tips

Bring a good pickaxe and torches when mining deep. Deepslate is abundant once you reach the correct depth, so you can gather large quantities for major building projects without excessive mining time.
