Troubleshoot Chunks Not Staying Loaded

Verify Activation Status

First, confirm your chunk loader is actually active. Interact with the block again to ensure it's turned on. Use the radius renderer (toggle with your keybind) to see if the translucent box appears—if not, the loader isn't working.

Check for Automatic Shutdown

If your chunk loader was previously active but stopped working, it may have automatically disabled because all interacting players were offline for too long (default: 7 in-game days). Interact with the block again to reactivate it.

Confirm Pyramid Structure

If you built a pyramid to expand range, verify all blocks are permitted materials and properly stacked. An incomplete or incorrectly built pyramid won't contribute its tier bonus. Rebuild carefully, checking each layer.

Use Commands to Diagnose

Run /chunkymcchunkface list active <dimension> to confirm your loader appears in the active list. If it doesn't, it's disabled. If it does appear but chunks still aren't loading, the issue may be a server-side configuration or a conflict with another mod.
