Change Your Spell Colors for the First Time

Crafting and Binding the Tablet

Before you can customize spell colors, you need to craft a Recolor Tablet. Once crafted, bind it to yourself by holding it and performing the binding action (this varies by mod version—check your keybinds).

Opening the Color Wheel

With the tablet bound, right-click while holding it to open the magic school list. You'll see all available schools from Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks displayed.

Selecting Your Color

Click on any magic school to open its color wheel interface. The wheel displays the full spectrum from 0 to 360 degrees of hue. The current hue number appears at the top of the menu for precise reference.

Click or drag on the wheel to select your desired color, then confirm your choice. Your new spell color is saved immediately.

Seeing Your Changes

Cast spells from the school you just customized—your new color will appear on your spells and be visible to all other players on multiplayer servers. You can repeat this process for any other magic schools you want to customize.
