How to Tell Enchanted and Feathered Books Apart at a Glance
Why the Categories Matter
Chiseled Bookshelves can hold several kinds of books, and telling them apart normally means opening the shelf or hovering each slot. This mod removes that step by sorting the different types in its crosshair display. The three groups you will see are normal books, enchanted books, and feathered books. Each is presented distinctly, so you can identify the type you care about without inspecting individual slots.
Using the Display to Distinguish Types
Aim your crosshair at the shelf and study the overlay:
- If you need an enchanted book, look for the enchanted entries in the display rather than scanning every slot.
- If you are collecting feathered books, the display separates them from the rest.
- Plain books appear as their own group, so they will not be confused with the special types.
Practical Uses
This is most useful when trading, enchanting, or sorting loot. Before you commit to opening a shelf, the display already tells you whether it contains the enchanted or feathered book you are after. If the type is absent, move on. If it is present, open the shelf and take it. The result is fewer wasted interactions and a library you can read at a glance.
