Enable Custom Chest Models for Better Performance

Activate the Resource Pack

Chests Reimagined includes custom 3D models designed to reduce performance strain compared to vanilla chests. To use them:

1. Open your Minecraft launcher and navigate to Resource Packs

2. Click Open Pack Folder to access your resource packs directory

3. Place the Chests Reimagined pack file in this folder

4. Return to the launcher and move the pack from Available to Selected by dragging it or clicking the arrow

5. Confirm the pack is positioned above any conflicting packs in your load order

6. Launch your world

Verify Models Are Loading

Once in-game, open any chest and observe the updated 3D model. The lid should animate smoothly when opening and closing. If you see vanilla textures instead, check that:

• The resource pack is enabled in your world settings
• No other resource pack is overriding it (check load order)
• You've restarted the game after adding the pack

If using Optifine, ensure its settings don't conflict by checking Video Settings > Quality and confirming custom models are not disabled.
