How to Set Up Chat Shortcuts and Macros
Chat shortcuts save you from retyping the same messages over and over, which is handy for commands, trade offers, or greetings on a server.
Creating a Shortcut
Open the mod's settings screen from the chat interface or your mod list config. Find the shortcuts or macros section and add a new entry. Give it a trigger — a short word or key combination you will type or press — and then write the full message it should send. For example, a trigger like gg could expand to a full congratulatory message.
Using Shortcuts In-Game
Once saved, type your trigger into the chat box and send it, or press the bound key if you assigned one. The mod replaces the trigger with the full message. If you want to send a command, include the leading slash in the stored message so it runs as a command rather than plain chat.
Tips for Managing Shortcuts
Keep triggers short and unlikely to collide with normal words you type. Group related shortcuts with similar prefixes so they are easy to remember. If a shortcut stops working, check that its trigger does not conflict with another entry, and confirm the shortcut list is enabled in settings. You can edit or delete entries at any time from the same screen.
