How to Add a New Chat Trigger in Chat Notify Mod
Opening the Configuration Menu
Chat Notify Mod is configured entirely through its in-game config screen. Open it from the mod list menu (via the Mods button on the main menu or pause screen) by selecting Chat Notify and clicking the config button. You can also reach it through your mod loader's config folder if the in-game screen is unavailable. Once open, you will see a list of existing triggers and an option to add a new one.
Creating the Trigger
Click the add button to create a new entry. Type the exact word or phrase you want the mod to watch for in chat. Matching is based on the text you enter, so keep it specific — a short unique word works better than a common one that appears in normal conversation. After typing, confirm the entry and make sure it is enabled. Save or close the config screen so the change is applied; most versions apply changes immediately, but reloading the config guarantees it.
Testing It
Have someone (or yourself, in a private message or on a test server) type the trigger word in chat. The mod should play its notification sound and highlight the matched text in the chat message. If nothing happens, reopen the config and double-check spelling, capitalization if your setup is case-sensitive, and that the trigger is toggled on. Repeat the process for each word or phrase you want to track.
