Use redstone to trigger explosives remotely
Setting up redstone activation
After placing a charged explosive and confirming its preview looks correct, you can trigger it using redstone instead of manual right-clicking. This is useful for:
- Creating timed trap systems
- Building automated mining operations
- Designing puzzle mechanisms
Connecting redstone
Place redstone dust, repeaters, or comparators leading to your explosive. When a redstone signal reaches the explosive, it will activate the countdown timer just as if you had right-clicked it.
You can use any redstone component to control timing—repeaters for delays, observers for automation, or simple buttons for manual triggers. Combine multiple explosives with the same redstone circuit to create synchronized detonations across your build.
Tip: Test your redstone circuit before relying on it in important builds to ensure the signal reaches all your explosives correctly.
