Maximize mining efficiency with configured explosives
Choosing your blast dimensions
For mining, configure your explosive's width, height, and depth to match your target ore vein or mining area. Wider explosions clear more blocks but waste resources on stone; taller explosives help with vertical shafts; deeper explosives work well for horizontal tunnels.
Placement strategy
Place explosives at the center of your mining target when possible. The red preview rectangle shows exactly which blocks will be affected, so you can position multiple explosives to cover a large area without gaps or excessive overlap.
Automating with redstone
Connect several explosives to a single redstone timer circuit using repeaters to space out detonations. This prevents lag spikes from simultaneous explosions and lets you mine progressively deeper or wider through a resource deposit.
Note: Collected drops may despawn if you don't retrieve them quickly, so plan your mining area size accordingly and have hoppers or collection systems ready.
