Craft Your First Ceramic Shears

Gather Clay

Start by collecting clay blocks from underwater or riverbed locations. You'll need at least 4 clay balls total to create one pair of ceramic shears.

Make Clay Shears Parts

Craft two Clay Shears Parts using your clay balls. Each part requires two clay balls in the crafting grid. You now have the raw components.

Bake in the Furnace

Place each Clay Shears Part into a furnace with fuel (coal, wood, etc.). Smelt both parts until they become Ceramic Shears Parts. This hardens the clay into usable ceramic material.

Combine Into Shears

Once both Ceramic Shears Parts are baked, place them together in your crafting grid to create the final Ceramic Shears tool. You now have a working pair of shears!

Important Note

Ceramic Shears have 75% of the durability of vanilla shears, so they'll wear out faster with heavy use. Consider making extras if you plan extensive harvesting.
