Compare Compact Mount vs. Standard Cannon Mount for Your Build

Space Efficiency

The compact mount occupies significantly less block space than the standard Create Big Cannons mount block. If you're building in a confined area or want a compact fortress, the compact mount is the better choice. Standard mounts are bulkier but may offer additional features or flexibility.

Aiming Limitations

Compact mounts restrict aiming to vertical pitch only—you cannot rotate your cannon horizontally. Standard mounts may support full rotational aiming. If your cannon needs to swivel left and right, you'll need to use standard mounts or add separate horizontal rotation mechanisms.

Power Requirements

Both mount types require rotational power input. Compact mounts use a single side shaft for pitch control, keeping the power system simple and compact.

Best Use Cases

Choose compact mounts when you need multiple cannons in tight spaces, vertical-only aiming is acceptable, or you want a streamlined aesthetic. Use standard mounts if you need full 360° aiming, have space available, or require additional mounting features. Consider mixing both types in large defensive structures for flexibility.
