Troubleshoot When Pickup Isn't Working

Check Your Hands

The most common reason pickup fails:

• You must have completely empty hands — no items in your cursor or hotbar slot
• Drop everything you're holding before attempting to pick up blocks or mobs
• Even a single item can prevent the interaction

Verify Sneaking

• Ensure Shift is held down while you right-click
• Without sneaking, right-click will only open the container instead of picking it up
• Test that your sneak key is bound correctly in your controls

Check the Target

• The block must be a Tile Entity (chest, furnace, machine) — regular blocks won't work
• The mob must be small enough to carry — large mobs cannot be picked up
• Some modded blocks may not be compatible with Carry On

Mod Conflicts

• Other mods that modify right-click behavior may interfere
• Try disabling conflicting mods to isolate the issue
• Ensure Carry On is properly loaded by checking your mod list in-game
