How to Add Your Own Custom Cape Image

Preparing the image

Custom capes support high resolutions, up to 4K, so you are not limited to tiny pixel art. Use a standard cape-shaped texture layout so the design maps correctly onto the cape model. A square or wide image will stretch oddly, so match the cape texture proportions before you start. Keep the file as a PNG so transparency is preserved.

Loading it in-game

Open the cape selection screen using the keybind (default N) or via the Skin Customization tab. Look for the custom cape slot or upload option within that screen. Select your PNG from disk and confirm. The mod stores the cape locally, so no account login or external service is involved.

Fixing common problems

If your cape looks blurry, the source image is probably too small rather than too large. If it looks stretched, the aspect ratio is wrong. If it does not appear at all, check the file is a valid PNG and re-select it. Because capes are client-side, only you and other mod users will see your custom design.
