Manage Wendigo Level and Avoid the Wendigo Boss

The Wendigo Level rises as you consume human and villager flesh. Understanding how to manage it prevents summoning a dangerous boss mob.

Monitoring Your Level

If you have access to OP commands, use /cannibalism stat <your name> to check your current Wendigo Level. This helps you track how close you are to triggering negative effects or summoning the Wendigo.

Buffs and Debuffs

At moderate Wendigo Levels, you gain beneficial effects like Speed, Strength, and Resistance. However, your hunger drains faster. As your level climbs higher, negative effects like Nausea and Blindness appear before the Wendigo spawns.

Resetting Your Level

The Wendigo mechanic can be disabled entirely in the mod's configuration file if you prefer unrestricted cannibalism. If it's enabled and you reach maximum level, a Wendigo with 50 hearts and high knockback resistance will spawn and your level resets. Avoid this by limiting your consumption of flesh or by using configuration commands if you're an admin.
