Extract Flesh from Villagers and Other Players

In multiplayer or when you need to harvest from NPCs, the knife can extract flesh from villagers and other players.

Harvesting from Villagers

Hold a knife and Shift + right-click on a villager. This damages them and drops Villager Flesh. Cooked Villager Flesh restores significant hunger, making villagers a valuable food source if you're willing to sacrifice them.

Harvesting from Other Players

Right-click another player with a knife (no Shift required) to damage them and make them drop Player Flesh. This is only possible on multiplayer servers where PvP interactions are allowed.

Consequences

Both actions increase your Wendigo Level. Harvesting from villagers destroys their usefulness for trading, so consider whether the food is worth losing access to their services. On multiplayer servers, harvesting from other players may have social consequences depending on server rules and player agreements.
