How to Set Your Respawn Point at a Campfire

Lighting the Campfire

Place a campfire where you want to respawn and light it with flint & steel. The moment it ignites, a spawn point is created on top of the campfire. This works in the Overworld, the Nether, the End, and modded dimensions, so you can set a respawn anchor far from any bed.

Confirming the Spawn

Stand near the lit campfire and make sure nothing is blocking the space directly above it. The mod automatically clears blocks above the campfire when you respawn, so you will not suffocate, but keeping the area open avoids surprises. If the campfire is unlit, it will not act as a spawn point, so keep flint & steel handy in case it goes out.

Respawn Behavior

When you die, you will respawn on top of the campfire and receive a short burst of fire resistance. That protection gives you a moment to step out of any flames or lava nearby. Because the spawn point is tied to the campfire itself, breaking the campfire removes the spawn point, so do not dismantle it unless you intend to move your respawn location. If you want to relocate, simply place and light a new campfire elsewhere.
