Finding Each Wolf Type

Wolves in this mod have three distinct variants, each tied to specific cold and forest biomes. Collecting all types requires traveling across varied terrain.

Shaggy Wolves spawn in shrubland biomes with fluffy, thick coats. Cloaked Wolves hunt in coniferous badlands with adapted coloring for rocky, forested terrain. Charcoal Wolves live in snowy old growth taigas, appearing dark against white snow. Each variant has unique visual characteristics that help them blend into their native environment.

Taming and Transporting Wolves

Wolves can be tamed using bones, which you obtain from skeletons. Right-click a wild wolf with bones until it becomes tamed (indicated by a red collar). Tamed wolves follow you and can be transported using leads. Collect multiple variants to create a diverse wolf pack, or keep them separated by type in different enclosures. Tamed wolves of the same variant can breed together if you feed them meat, producing offspring that match their parents' appearance. Display your collection in a themed wolf den or keep them as working companions.
