Craft and Equip Your First Jetpack

Gather Echo Shards

Echo shards are found in the Deep Dark biome, dropped by the Warden or found in ancient city loot chests. You'll need several to craft the jetpack, so explore carefully or farm the Warden if you're confident in combat.

Craft the Jetpack

Open your crafting table and arrange echo shards according to the mod's recipe pattern. The jetpack is a late-game item, so expect the recipe to require a significant number of shards plus supporting materials. Once crafted, you'll hold a wearable flight device.

Equip in Chest Armor Slot

Open your inventory and place the jetpack in your chest plate armor slot—not your main inventory. This is crucial: the jetpack only functions when worn as body armor. You should see it visually appear on your character's chest.

Stock Jetpack Fuel

Before flying, craft or gather jetpack fuel and keep it in your main inventory. Without fuel, the jetpack won't activate. Check your inventory before each flight session to ensure you have enough fuel to complete your building project.
