Placing Lines and Fixing Misplaced Blocks with Build Guide Mod

Projecting a Line Hologram

Open the GUI and pick Line from the shape list. The mod will draw a straight row of ghost blocks from your anchor point in the direction you're facing, or between two points you specify. Enter the length you need. This is handy for long walls, roads, rails, or redstone lines where a single block off-course ruins the whole run.

Using Lines for Redstone and Rails

Because redstone and rails must follow exact paths, a line hologram removes guesswork. Anchor the line at the start of your circuit, set the correct length, and place each repeater, comparator, or rail segment directly on a ghost block. If the line needs to turn, project a second line from the corner and build along it.

Correcting Mistakes Without Tearing Down Layers

If you place a block in the wrong spot, the hologram still marks the correct position. Break the wrong block and place the new one on the ghost. Because the hologram persists until you clear it, you can spot-check your work at any time. For large builds, clear and re-project the shape after finishing a section to confirm alignment before moving on. This saves you from removing and replacing entire layers later.
