Set Up a Quest Chain with Multiple Stages
Plan Your Progression
Decide the order of your quests before building. A quest chain works best when each stage builds on the previous one—for example, gathering materials, then crafting an item, then using it in combat.
Create Sequential Quests
1. Build your first quest as the entry point
2. Add a second quest and configure it so it only appears after the first is complete
3. Continue adding stages, linking each one to its predecessor
4. Use the category system to group related quests together
Lock and Unlock Progression
The mod automatically tracks completion. Once a player finishes a quest, the next stage in the chain becomes available in their task book. You can verify this by checking the quest details—completed tasks show as locked until the prerequisite is done.
Test the Full Chain
Complete each quest in order to ensure the progression flows smoothly. Use /boundless reset on individual quests to test the unlock system. If a stage doesn't appear after completion, check the editor to confirm the dependency link is set correctly.
