Using Beds as Elevators

A bed is a cheap vertical launcher. Place one directly under the area you want to reach, jump on it, and steer with your movement keys mid-air to land on a ledge, platform, or opening. This is handy for secret bases, sky builds, and areas above the normal reach of stairs or ladders.

Aiming Your Landing

• Build a small landing platform at your target height so you have somewhere solid to touch down.
• Approach the bed from the side you want to travel toward, since your momentum carries you in that direction.
• If you overshoot, lower bedBounciness slightly in the config until the arc matches your target.

Designing Hidden Entrances

Put the bed inside a closed room with a hole in the ceiling. Bouncing sends you up through the hole into a room above, which is invisible from outside. Keep bedsPreventFallDamage on so the drop back down is safe. For a one-way secret, place the return bed somewhere else entirely so visitors cannot easily find their way back. Always test the bounce path in survival mode to confirm you clear the ceiling and land where intended.
