Finding a Specific Enchanted Book in a Chiseled Bookshelf

Chiseled bookshelves are popular for storing enchanted books, but once several are slotted in, the spines all look similar. This mod removes the guesswork by letting you hover over each book to read its name.

Scanning the Shelf

1. Stand close enough that you can comfortably aim at every slot on the shelf.

2. Sweep your crosshair slowly across the books from one side to the other. Pause briefly on each book so the tooltip has time to appear.

3. Read the title shown for each enchanted book. Enchanted books display their enchantment name as the title, so you can identify the one you want without removing anything.

4. When you find the book you need, aim at that slot and take it out as you normally would.

Tips for Larger Storage

If you use several chiseled bookshelves as a library, inspect them row by row rather than jumping around. Keeping your aim movement steady makes the tooltips easier to read and prevents you from skipping a slot. This is much faster than opening and closing each book to check its contents.
