Checking Books Before Trading or Using Them
Before you hand a book to another player, feed it into a mechanic, or use it for enchanting, it helps to confirm exactly what it is. This mod lets you verify a book's identity while it is still sitting in a chiseled bookshelf.
Why Inspect First
A written book can hold text you may not want to lose, and an enchanted book may carry a specific enchantment you are saving for a particular item. Reading the title in place means you avoid pulling out the wrong book by mistake.
How to Verify a Book
1. Aim at the book you are considering using. The tooltip shows both the book type and its title.
2. Confirm the type matches what you expect. A book and quill is still editable, a written book is finalized, and an enchanted book carries an enchantment.
3. Check the title against what you need. If it matches, remove that book from the shelf and proceed with your trade or crafting.
4. If it does not match, simply move your aim to the next slot and keep scanning.
This quick check keeps your storage organized and prevents mix-ups when several similar books are stored together.
