How to Use Blue's Better Zombies With Other Resource Packs

Understand What This Pack Owns

Blue's Better Zombies edits the zombie's model, textures, and animations. Any other pack that also changes entity/zombie files will fight it. To combine packs cleanly, decide which one should control the zombie and place that pack higher in Options → Resource Packs. The higher pack wins per-file, so ordering is your main tool.

Build a Layered Load Order

A reliable order is: gameplay-affecting or total-conversion packs at the bottom, biome and environment packs in the middle, and mob-specific packs like Blue's Better Zombies near the top. This keeps the detailed zombie look intact while still letting broader packs handle terrain, sky, and GUI. If a pack retextures *all* mobs, it will likely overwrite the zombie — put Blue's above it.

Match the Undead Family

For visual consistency, look for packs that also cover husks, drowned, and zombie villagers, since those share the zombie model family. Without them, a detailed zombie can stand next to a flat vanilla husk and look out of place. Keep in mind this pack is cosmetic only: it will not change spawn rates, damage, or AI, so pair it with a gameplay mod if you want the undead to actually be more dangerous. Reload with F3 + T after any reorder.
