Find Vital Bushes

Blue hearts don't come from eating—you need to brew them. Start by locating a Lush Cave biome underground. These caves are recognizable by their lush vegetation and unique plant life. Once inside, look up at the ceiling. Vital Bushes hang from the stone above and produce orange fruit. Harvest the fruit by breaking the bushes.

Brew Your First Potion

With Vital Fruit collected, craft Vital Sap using your gathered materials. Use the sap as an ingredient in a brewing stand to create a Blue Blood Potion. Drink this potion and you'll gain your first blue hearts—a new health bar separate from your regular red hearts.

Maintain Your Blue Health

Unlike red hearts, blue hearts cannot be restored by eating food. The only way to heal them is by sleeping in a bed. This makes blue hearts a strategic resource—use them wisely in combat, knowing you'll need to find shelter to recover.
