Finding and Crafting Polished Stone Variants

Locating Base Materials

Polished stone variants require you to first gather the raw stone types from the world. Look for Diorite, Granite, and Andesite in mountain biomes and underground caves. These generate naturally alongside regular stone.

Crafting Polished Blocks

Once you have your raw stone, place it in a Stonecutter or use a crafting recipe to create the polished version. The polished variants serve as the base for walls, stairs, and slabs.

After obtaining polished blocks, you can:

  • Craft Polished Diorite Walls by arranging polished diorite in the wall recipe pattern
  • Create stairs and slabs using the standard stair and slab crafting recipes with your polished stone

Using Your Variants

These polished variants work identically to vanilla stairs, slabs, and walls—they stack, connect to adjacent blocks, and can be waterlogged. Use them for decorative building projects, detailed architectural work, or creating smooth transitions between different stone types in your builds.
