How to Use the Block Entity Wrench

The Block Entity Wrench allows you to cycle through different configurations of block entities. Right-click a compatible block entity (such as a chest) with the wrench to advance it to its next possible state. Each use cycles to a different configuration, letting you switch between saved entity data without breaking and replacing the block.

This is useful for quickly testing different block entity setups or swapping between preset configurations. The wrench preserves the block's position while only changing its internal data state. Not all blocks support this feature—it only works on block entities that have multiple valid configurations to cycle through.
