How to Use Binnie's Machines for Bee and Tree Processing
What Binnie's Machines Do
Binnie's Mods adds several machines that support bee and tree breeding, such as machines for extracting products from bees and trees, and machines that help with genetic manipulation. These machines typically require power from a Forestry or BuildCraft energy source. Place the machine, connect it to power, and provide input items via hoppers or pipes.
Setting Up a Basic Processing Line
Start with a machine that processes bee products, such as a centrifuge or squeezer equivalent from Binnie's. Insert combs or other bee outputs into the input slot. The machine will process them into usable items like honey drops, beeswax, or other products. For tree products, use the appropriate machine to extract sap, fruit, or other materials. Check the machine's interface for input and output slots, and make sure the output has somewhere to go.
Automating with Pipes and Tanks
Binnie's machines often output liquids as well as solids. Connect fluid pipes to the liquid output and route it to tanks or other machines. Use item pipes to move solid outputs to chests. If you are using BuildCraft or Thermal Dynamics pipes, configure them to extract from the correct side. Redstone control can turn machines on and off based on demand.
Practical Tips
- Always provide a buffer chest for outputs so machines do not back up.
- Use a wrench to rotate machines so inputs and outputs face the right direction.
- Keep a stock of empty containers if the machine fills liquid capsules or cans.
- Check power requirements; underpowered machines run slowly or not at all.
