Targeting Traits

Binnie's Mods adds bees with special traits such as increased speed, higher fertility, or unique effects. To get a specific trait, you need to breed bees that carry that trait and then isolate it. Use a beealyzer to inspect a bee's active and inactive traits. Active traits are what the bee currently expresses; inactive traits can be passed to offspring. Breed a bee with the desired trait with another bee that has good complementary traits, then select offspring that show the trait you want.

Producing Special Products

Some Binnie's bees produce special products like glowing pollen, specific combs, or other materials. These products are often tied to the bee's species. To get them, you must breed the correct species and then harvest its products from an apiary or alveary. Increase production by using frames, choosing bees with high productivity, and ensuring the bee's preferred temperature and humidity are met.

Stabilizing a Line

Once you have a bee with the traits and products you want, breed it with a drone that has similar traits to stabilize the line. Over several generations, the traits will become consistent. Keep a supply of drones from your best bees to use for future breeding. Avoid mixing in unwanted traits by carefully selecting breeding partners.
