How to Bind a Command to a Key in BindCommands
Opening the Bind Menu
BindCommands adds its own keybind screen rather than using vanilla controls. Open the mod's configuration screen from the mod menu (or via its assigned hotkey) and look for the section where you add a new binding. You will be asked for two things: the command text and the key you want to trigger it.
Entering the Command
Type the command exactly as you would in chat, but without the leading slash. For example, if you normally type /home, enter home in the command field. If your command needs arguments, include them in the same field (for instance a warp name or a player name). Then click the key field and press the physical key you want to use. The mod records that keypress as the trigger.
Saving and Testing
Confirm the binding so it is stored in the mod's config file, then close the screen. Press your chosen key in-game to fire the command. If nothing happens, check that the key is not already used by another mod or by vanilla controls, since a conflict will block the binding. Also make sure the command is one you actually have permission to run — on a server, a command you cannot type manually will not work through a binding either.
Keep bindings to keys you do not press often during normal movement, so you do not fire commands accidentally.
