How to Farm Withered Bones Efficiently

Finding Wither Skeletons

Withered Bones are primarily dropped by Wither Skeletons in the Nether. Head to Nether Fortresses and hunt these mobs—they're your main source. If the mod is configured to replace regular bone drops, Wither Skeletons will only drop Withered Bones instead of regular bones.

Some mobs from the Better Nether mod (such as Naga and Skull) also drop Withered Bones, giving you additional farming opportunities if that mod is installed alongside this one.

Setting Up a Farm

Create a dark room in a Nether Fortress to encourage Wither Skeleton spawning. Use fall damage or suffocation to kill them efficiently, then collect the Withered Bones that drop. Enchant your sword with Looting to increase drop rates.

Store your Withered Bones in a chest near your crafting area. You'll convert them into Withered Bone Meal (3 meal per bone) as needed for your projects.
