Automate Grain Processing with a Millstone

Preparing Your Millstone

Craft a millstone block and place it where your axle network can reach it. The millstone grinds grain into flour and processes other materials into refined forms. Position it so an axle can connect to its power input face.

Connecting Mechanical Power

Attach an axle from your windmill or water wheel to the millstone. The axle must be aligned with the millstone's input face for power transfer. Once connected and spinning, the millstone is ready to process.

Feeding and Collecting Output

Place grain or compatible materials into the millstone's input slot. As the millstone spins, it will gradually convert the input into processed output. Collect finished flour or other products from the output slot.

Scaling Up Production

For larger operations, place multiple millstones in a line, each powered by the same axle network. Use hoppers or item pipes to automate material flow between machines. This creates a continuous processing chain that requires minimal player interaction once set up.
