Apply a Loyalty enchantment to your trident using an enchanting table, anvil, or loot. Loyalty causes the trident to return to you after being thrown.

Collecting Drops Efficiently

When your Loyalty-enchanted trident is thrown and hits a mob, any loot that mob drops—including items and experience orbs—will fly toward you along with the returning trident. This works for all mobs, not just aquatic ones.

This is especially useful for farming:

• Mob grinders: Throw your trident through a mob farm to collect all drops automatically
• Boss fights: Defeat enemies and retrieve both your weapon and their loot in one motion
• General combat: Never chase dropped items again

Important Notes

The trident must actually hit the mob for drops to be collected. Loyalty also prevents your trident from being lost if accidentally thrown into the void, making it a safer choice for exploration and combat in dangerous terrain.
