Import Quests from an HQM JSON File

Preparing Your JSON File

Better Questing: Standard Expansion supports importing quests from HQM (Hardcore Questing Mode) JSON files. Ensure your JSON file is properly formatted and contains valid quest data. The file should be accessible either locally on your system or hosted at a URL.

Using the Native Importer

Access the quest editor and look for the import option. Select the native importer tool and choose whether to load from a local file or provide a URL. Point it to your HQM JSON file and confirm. The importer will parse the file and convert the quests into Better Questing format.

Verifying Imported Content

After import, check that all quest tasks, rewards, and descriptions transferred correctly. Some HQM-specific features may not have direct equivalents in Better Questing, so you may need to manually adjust certain quests. Test a few imported quests in-game to ensure they function as intended before deploying to players.
