Getting Started with Better Lanterns

Installing and Seeing the Changes

Once Better Lanterns is active in your resource pack list, all lanterns and chains in your world will automatically display with enhanced 3D models. You don't need to craft anything new or change your world—the pack simply replaces the visuals of existing blocks.

Viewing Lanterns in Your Inventory

Place a lantern in your hand or on the ground to see the improved 3D design. The lantern will appear more detailed and realistic compared to vanilla Minecraft. When you hold a lantern, notice how it's positioned more naturally in your hand rather than floating awkwardly.

Checking Chains

Chains connected to lanterns or used as decoration will also display with upgraded visuals. Look at how they connect and hang—the pack improves their appearance to match the enhanced lanterns.

Performance Notes

Because this pack adds higher-quality 3D models, it may use slightly more resources than vanilla textures. If you experience lag, try adjusting your graphics settings or combining it with a lighter resource pack for other blocks.
