How to Make the Better End Sky Mod Actually Change Your End Sky
Confirm the Mod Is Doing Its Job
If your End sky still looks like the vanilla purple static, the mod is installed but not being used. This is almost always a resource pack problem, not a mod problem. Better End Sky Mod is a renderer, not a texture source — it needs a resource pack that ships End sky textures to draw anything.
Steps to Fix a Blank or Default Sky
1. Open your resource pack list and make sure a pack with End sky textures is enabled and sits above any pack that does not touch the End.
2. If you have several packs, move the sky-texture pack to the top of the list and reload resources.
3. Enter the End and look straight up. The renderer only replaces the sky dome, so you must be in the End dimension to see the change — the Overworld and Nether are untouched.
4. If it still looks vanilla, try a different sky pack. Some packs only include Overworld skies and will not affect the End at all.
5. If you use shaders, disable them temporarily. Shader packs often override the sky renderer entirely, so the mod's visuals will not appear until shaders are off or configured to leave the End sky alone.
Once a compatible pack is on top and shaders are out of the way, the custom End sky appears immediately — no restart required, just a resource reload.
