Taming Your Wolf

1. Find a wolf in the wild (typically in forests)

2. Gather bones from skeletons

3. Right-click the wolf with bones until hearts appear and its collar turns red

4. Your wolf is now tamed

Changing the Dog Breed

Once tamed, use a Name Tag to assign a specific breed:

1. Obtain a Name Tag (found in loot chests or crafted)

2. Use an Anvil to rename the Name Tag to your desired breed name

3. Right-click your tamed wolf with the renamed Name Tag

4. The wolf's model will instantly transform into that breed

Available Breed Names

Use exact names like: Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, Husky, German Shepherd, Corgi, Pug, Dalmatian, Samoyed, Beagle, Bull Terrier, Shiba Inu, Australian Shepherd, Dachshund, Chihuahua, Bulldog, Dobermann, Rottweiler, Great Dane, and Neapolitan Mastiff.

Many breeds have shorter alternatives (e.g., "Lab" for Labrador, "GSD" for German Shepherd).
