How to Make Tamed Wolves Lie Down and Wag Their Tails

This mod fluffs up wolf tails and makes them wag and flow as wolves stand and run. It also changes tamed wolves so they lie down in certain situations, giving them a more relaxed, pet-like presence around your base.

Using It With Your Dogs

Nothing needs to be crafted. Tame a wolf with bones as usual, then keep it near you.

• When a tamed wolf is idle and settled, it may lie down instead of standing stiffly. This is a visual state, so the wolf still follows and fights normally when needed.
• The tail wag is most visible when the wolf is standing still or trotting beside you. Watch from behind or to the side to see the motion clearly.
• Sitting wolves keep their seated pose, so use the sit command when you want them to stay put; the lying-down look appears during natural idle moments.
• Because the change is model-based, dyeing a wolf's collar or using a texture pack does not remove the animation.

If your wolves look unchanged, check for other mods that edit the wolf model, as those can override this one.
