What Changes for Squids

Better Animations Collection 2 reworks squid tentacles so they flow and pulse like a jellyfish while the squid swims. Instead of a stiff cluster, the tentacles ripple and trail, and the overall swim cycle looks smoother and more fluid.

Seeing the Effect in Game

No items or commands are required. Just find squids in any ocean, river, or aquarium you have built and watch them move.

Steps to appreciate and use it:

1. Swim near a squid without attacking it so it does not ink and flee. Calm squids show the full flowing animation.

2. Observe from the side rather than head-on; the tentacle flow is most obvious in profile as the squid jets forward.

3. Build a glass viewing tank and lure squids inside with water buckets. In a confined space the pulsing motion is easy to study and looks great as decoration.

4. Note that the animation is cosmetic. Squid behavior, ink drops, and spawning are unchanged, so farms still work normally.

If squids appear normal, another mod may be replacing the squid model. Disable conflicting model mods to restore the effect.
