Use Coordinates for Multiplayer Navigation and Sharing
Share Locations with Other Players
On multiplayer servers, coordinates are essential for meeting up and sharing discoveries. When you find something worth showing others—a base, farm, or structure—note your coordinates and share them in chat.
Coordinate Format
Coordinates are typically shared as three numbers: X Z Y (or X Y Z depending on context). For example: "Meet me at 1000 50 -500." Other players can use their own coordinate display to navigate to that exact location.
Navigation Tips
- Walk toward matching X and Z coordinates first to reach the correct horizontal location
- Then adjust your Y coordinate (height) to reach the exact spot
- Use landmarks visible from your coordinate display to confirm you're in the right area
Marking Important Locations
Keep a list of coordinates for:
- Your main base
- Mining areas
- Farms and resource locations
- Nether portals
- Meeting points
This makes returning to important locations quick and reliable, especially on large multiplayer servers where distances are vast.
