How to Combine This Pack With Other Resource Packs Without Losing the Book Art
Understand What the Pack Replaces
This pack changes the item textures for enchanted books. That means any other resource pack that also ships enchanted book textures will conflict with it, and whichever pack sits higher in your load order wins for those files.
Ordering Your Packs
1. Open your resource pack selection screen and look at the list of enabled packs from top to bottom. Higher entries override lower ones.
2. Place this pack above any general-purpose or themed pack that also touches enchanted books, so its covers take priority.
3. Place it below packs that change things you still want from them — for example, a pack that only alters GUI or font textures will not conflict, so order does not matter there.
4. Apply the changes and check a chest of enchanted books in-game to confirm the new covers are showing.
Troubleshooting
- If books still look vanilla, another enabled pack is overriding them. Move this pack higher and reapply.
- If only some books look correct, you likely have two packs each covering part of the book set; disable the competing pack or move this one above it.
- If you use a mod that adds its own enchanted book variants, those may keep their own textures since this pack only covers the books it was built for.
- After any pack change, reload resources rather than restarting the game, and re-check a sample of books from each color family.
