Understanding Backpack Capacity

Backpacks store items by count, not by weight. Leather backpacks hold up to 256 items (4 stacks), while Iron and Gold backpacks hold up to 576 items (9 stacks).

Steps:

1. Hover over your equipped backpack in your inventory to see all stored items

2. When full, new items will not automatically enter the backpack

3. Remove items manually by clicking them in the backpack inventory view

4. Drop unwanted items or transfer them to chests

Cooperative Item Retrieval

If you need an item from the bottom of your backpack, ask a friend to help. They can open your backpack from behind and grab the item you need.

Note: Items stored in backpacks are at risk of going missing—always double-check valuable items like diamonds after they've been stored for a while. Keep your most important items in your main inventory or a secure chest instead.
