Enable Weapon Trails on Your Swords

How Weapon Trails Work

Weapon trails are the glowing light effects that follow your blade during combat swings. This resource pack automatically applies matching trails to all enhanced weapons—they activate whenever you attack with a sword, axe, or other melee weapon.

Seeing Your Trails

Weapon trails display during:

  • Regular sword and axe swings
  • Sprint attacks
  • Critical hits
  • Any combat animation from Epic Fight or Epic Fight: Resurrection

The trail color and style match your specific weapon model. Vanilla weapons (wooden, stone, iron, gold, diamond, netherite) get subtle white or metallic trails. Unique weapons from Weapons of Miracles display their own signature colors—for example, Agony and Tormented Mind have darker, more dramatic effects.

Optimizing Trail Visibility

If trails appear too faint or don't show:

  • Ensure particles are set to "All" in your video settings
  • Check that your render distance allows effects to load
  • Confirm the resource pack is active and ranked above conflicting packs
  • Attack during dusk or night for better contrast against the sky

Trails work best with Epic Fight installed, as the mod's combat animations provide the full swing arc needed to display effects properly.
