Breaking and Relocating Crates

Crates retain all stored items when broken—you won't lose anything by moving them. Break a Crate normally with any tool, and it drops as a block ready to be placed elsewhere.

Using the Crate Hammer

For faster relocation, use a Crate Hammer to instantly pick up a Crate with all its contents. This is much quicker than breaking and placing, especially when reorganizing large storage areas.

Transporting Full Crates

Since Crates keep their inventory when moved, you can safely relocate storage across your base or even transport it via Hopper Minecarts if needed. This flexibility lets you redesign your storage layout without losing progress.

Checking Contents Before Moving

The dynamic item model on each Crate shows what's stored and how many items. Use this to identify which Crates to move when reorganizing your storage system.
