Set Up an Efficient Basalt Processing Chain
Planning Your Setup
Design a multi-stage processing line if you have large amounts of basalt to handle. Arrange blocks in a logical flow:
Basalt Crusher →
Grizzly (optional) →
Gravel Mill → output storage.
Stage 1: Crushing Basalt
Place your Basalt Crusher with jaw liners loaded. Position a Grizzly directly underneath if you want automatic gravel-to-sand conversion. This saves time and reduces manual transfers.
Stage 2: Secondary Processing
If the Grizzly doesn't produce enough sand, or if you want to process gravel separately, add a Gravel Mill with mill rods in a second location. Direct excess gravel here.
Resource Management
Keep a chest nearby stocked with jaw liners and mill rods. Monitor consumption rates—jaw liners deplete faster with heavy use. Organize outputs into separate storage for gravel and sand.
Scaling Up
For massive operations, consider multiple Basalt Crushers feeding into a single Gravel Mill, or multiple mills processing gravel in parallel. This prevents bottlenecks and keeps materials flowing smoothly.
