Building a Safe Enclosure

Coyotes spawn naturally in your world and actively hunt farm animals. The best defense is a secure pen built with the mod's fencing blocks.

Use chainlink mesh and iron corrals to construct walls at least two blocks high around your animal area. Chainlink doors allow you to enter and exit without leaving gaps. Make sure to fully enclose the top as well—coyotes can jump.

Using Great Pyrenees Dogs

Tame a Great Pyrenees by right-clicking with bones. These large dogs will patrol your farm and automatically attack coyotes, zombies, skeletons, and wild wolves. Place multiple dogs around your property for better coverage, especially if you have large herds.

Combine both strategies for maximum protection: build sturdy pens *and* station guard dogs nearby. This ensures your livestock survives the night and stays safe during the day when coyotes roam.
