Manage Crop Damage from House Mice

Understanding the Problem

House mice spawn in your world and will eat crops from your farm, reducing your harvest. This happens automatically when mice are present near planted blocks.

Disabling Mouse Crop Damage

If you find mice destroying your crops too quickly, you can disable this behavior through the mod's configuration file. Look for the house_mice_crop_damage setting and turn it off.

Alternative: Living with Mice

If you want to keep the challenge, design your farm with this in mind. Plant crops in enclosed structures or use fencing to limit mouse access. You can also harvest frequently to minimize losses.

Disabling the feature is the simplest solution if crop damage becomes frustrating, but leaving it enabled adds a layer of realism and challenge to farm management.
