How to Place a Banner as a Flag on a Wall

Getting a banner ready

Craft or obtain a banner in the color and pattern you want. The Banner Flags mod does not change how banners are made, so any banner you already own will work as a flag.

Attaching it to a block face

Hold the banner in your hand and look at the side of a solid block where you want the flag to hang. Right-click (use) on that block face. The banner is placed as a flag attached to that surface, oriented to face the direction you were looking at. Because the mod supports four directions, you can rotate your view and place the same banner on any of the four sides of a block to control which way it points.

Adjusting placement

If the flag ends up facing the wrong way, break the block it is attached to and pick the banner back up, then re-place it while looking from the angle you actually want. Flags are meant to be repositioned freely, so experiment until the design reads correctly from the direction players will approach.

Tips

• Place flags high on walls or towers so they are visible from a distance.
• Use the same banner on multiple faces of a block to make it readable from several angles.
